For Christmas. here's a "Star of Bethlehem" flower (Ornithogalum umbellatum).
I first noticed two of these flowers in our yard a few years ago. Each year I keep an eye on that spot to catch them when they bloom, but this year they didn't.
While looking around for plants to photograph, I found more of the flowers growing in two different parts of the yard, with the blue-eyed grass and the spring beauties.
The flowers only last about a week.
@frobozz fairly sure these are Simbelmynë, the flowers that grow on the barrows at Edoras in Rohan.

@Karlonsea If not, they are certainly closely related. They appeared magically in our yard and are not native to this continent.
