So this morning did not start off well.

I think Dax (my dog) might still have health issues.

2 weeks ago he started urinating unexpectedly. We took him to the vet where antibiotics and anti-inflammatories were prescribed.

Things seemed to be getting better, but yesterday I noticed that he had to go potty sooner then usual, and this morning, he woke me up an hour early to go out.

Now I'm a stress ball. What if it isn't an infection? What if it's something worse like cancer?

FUUUUUCK!

Alex

@Mrfunkedude Sir, first things first - breathe. You won't be able to help if you don't help you, right? :)

It might be something concerning, it might be something benign - right? We have equal chances at both so maybe focusing on the positive and finding out how we can make this as positive as we can?

Dax is a good dog, I'm sure. You're such a good doggo-dad that I have full confidence Dax is loved, in a good home, and has a happy and fulfilling doggo life. That isn't necessarily over.

What if it isn't an infection and something worse? We handle it. You speak with the medical experts, get an assessment, and then you decide with the doctors how you'd like to approach this.

Then you go to GoFundMe and let us help you with medical expenses if they are necessary.

FOR TODAY - I have one request. You are such a wonderfully positive person. Can I have a wonderfully positive experience you've had with Dax? I'm a cat guy - but I know doggos love their owners. Can you share?

@mentallyalex Thank you for the kind, calming words.

Dax was instrumental in meeting the love of my life @beingtam who I met on OkCupid by opening up with a comment about her dog in her profile pic.

We talked and met, and got to know each other. Not long after she asked me to start bringing him over whenever I cam to visit. She had her own dog who was coming closer to the end of it's life, so Dax quickly won her heart.

He brought us all closer together. And for that I will always be grateful.
