I can understand the thinking, but, I also know that it's the only way some indie writers will be able to make money, especially via Kindle ebooks.

No doubt, Amazon is undercutting other booksellers. Yet, I'm not sure that the focus should be on the very small group of authors who can actually pull their books from Amazon (those who are not controlled by a big publisher) rather than on the real problem, which is the huge number of consumers who are buying all their books through Amazon. It's demand, not supply, that drives it.

It's become the Walmart of online booksellers, destroying competition.
