I just found a non-ironic discussion starting with: "What is the environmental impact of running Bayesian models as compared to frequentist ones?"
I'm really puzzled:
Maybe we should start to encourage students to use C++ (or Rust if you're a fan) instead of Python, by saying It makes science more green?
Establish a ethical committee branch to approve bootstrap replicate quotas?
Or just start to frown upon numeric methods in general?
Well, if you consider my irony inappropriate, please tell in comments. But now I really feel something in between dread and urge to laughter TBH.
